Thrashers Assign Three Players to Chicago (AHL)

Atlanta Thrashers

The Atlanta Thrashers have assigned forwards Jordan LaVallee, Junior Lessard and Joe Motzko to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell.

The Thrashers now have 30 players on their training camp roster (see roster below), including 17 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.

The Thrashers, who have a 1-2 record in three road preseason games, begin their home preseason schedule against Detroit on Oct. 1 (7 p.m.) and host Nashville on Oct. 3 (7:30 p.m.) and St. Louis on Oct. 4 (7 p.m.). The 2008-09 NHL Regular-Season schedule begins when the Thrashers host the Washington Capitals at Philips Arena on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
