| What You Really Need To Know |
|
The last time Kari Lehtonen and the Thrashers faced New Jersey they stifled the Devil offense and left the ice with a 4-0 shutout victory. New Jersey made sure right from the start that a repeat performance would not happen. The Devils out shot the Thrashers 18-4 in the opening period while jumping out to a 3-0 lead and seizing control of the game. In a game filled with penalties (17 between the two teams), the Thrashers were respectable on the penalty kill but surrendered two shorthanded goals that kept the momentum in the Devils favor througout the contest. |
